lives software package provides Video Editing system allowing users to edit and create video, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install lives
lives is installed in your system.
Make ensure the lives package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep lives *
You will get with lives package name, version, architecture and description in a table
